A California highway police officer helped slow a runaway Toyota Prius from 94 mph to a safe stop on March 8 after the car's accelerator became stuck on a freeway near San Diego, authorities said.

Today Toyota announced it will recall approximately 133,000 2010 Model Year Prius vehicles and 14,500 Lexus Division 2010 HS 250h vehicles.
